For a while I have been thinking about the amount of waste which I produce in the lampshade making process and how this can be recycled more effectively and efficiently. I try to cut the fire retardant lining as economically as possible, my fabric and trim remnants either go to my daughter to use or to the rag man, and my paper gets recycled. Still, I did not feel comfortable with this aspect of my work.
Sooooo, I came up with the idea of using all the remnants above to make small candle carriers which I have now discovered double up as a flower pot carrier. Simply put your flowers in a glass jar and pop the carrier over the top or pop your tea light in a glass jar and pop inside the carrier.
Great as a table piece,an al fresco accessory, a wedding favour or table decoration.
10cm diameter and 13cm in height. Real individual stamps, finished with a cotton trim.
Please note: NOT TO BE USED WITH A NAKED FLAME. PLACE CANDLE IN GLASS JAR.
